This unique program is intended for well-advanced students from fields such as Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Railway Infrastructure, Project Management, Communication Technology, Information Management and IT-Security who actively engage their bright minds to bring innovative ideas.
Ideally you have already finished your bachelor’s degree and you are currently finishing your master’s degree. We expect good English language skills, German would be beneficial. Other language skills (for example Hungarian, Romanian or Croatian) are an advantage.
On our Welcome-Day during your first week at Thales Austria you are going to get to know more about your specific tasks and our company. At the end of the Traineeship you will also take part in an exciting excursion. In addition to your practical experience, you can participate in different trainings about the railway industry or specific products.
Regular feedback sessions with HR are part of the program. During or after the completion of the Traineeship there is the possibility to work on your master’s thesis in conjunction or together with a Thales supervisor. As trainee you may work part-time or full-time but with a minimum of 20 hours per week. During the whole program of 4 to 6 months a Traineeship coordinator from the HR-department will be there to support you.
Under consideration of your professional qualification and your personal interests you will pass through one to two different stations, where you will have the opportunity to manage interesting and challenging tasks and meet individual goals. We offer the following stations:
